If you plan your trip to Litomyšl, city of UNESCO, music, history, and modern architecture. Don’t make compromises about the quality of your stay. Hotel Aplaus has a great location, quality services, and unbeatable genius loci.
About Hotel Aplaus
Hotel Aplaus is your best choice for an overnight stay in Litomyšl. First and foremost, the genius loci is unbeatable thanks to the location right next to the monastery gardens. Secondly, you can enjoy modern comfort in building with an interesting history. Thirdly, the hotel restaurant Bohém is the best one in the town.
The Hotel has a great location, just a few steps from the UNESCO Renaissance chateau and the Portmoneum. Terrace of the restaurant is heading right to the monastery gardens, the best part of the Litomyšl city. You won’t find anything better, especially if you are coming for the famous festival Smetanova Litomyšl. Then, you have all the festival location within a few steps.
Hotel Aplaus has 21 double rooms to offer plus 2 suites. Every room is different so that you won’t find a united design in every room. The most beautiful one is a white Smetana Suite with a living room, bedroom, and two bathrooms. I love the light colors combined with black-and-white photos and golden touch in the bathroom.
The Story of Hotel Aplaus
The Hotel consists of three historic buildings. One of them used to be a local pub “Na sklípku,” where famous local artist Josef Váchal liked to spend his time about 100 years ago. You might know the eccentric museum Portmoneum, exposing the art of Josef Váchal.
As I already mentioned in my previous article on Litomyšl, it is a city of history and modern architecture. The reconstruction of these three historical houses used to be a hearth issue of a local architectonic company that devoted years of care and patience until the final opening in 2008. In the past five years, the hotel is in the attentive care of Aneta and David Fišerovi. Aneta used to work in the architectonic company that managed the process of reconstruction of the hotel. Therefore, she has been following the resuscitation of the hotel from the very beginning.
If you would like to have quality food based on traditional Czech cuisine (with a modern touch), made of local and fresh ingredients, you are in the right place. Furthermore, it would be best if you don’t miss the terrace heading to the monastery gardens because it will only add to your unforgettable experience.
