Kavárna co hledá jméno: Cafe that is Looking for its Name

This small paradise was initially designed for demolition. Instead, the bunch of friends turned it into a cozy place with a unique atmosphere. The courtyard dominates a vast chestnut tree providing shade for your chit-chat with friends. The old-bricks-style interior has a huge glass door that connects you with the outdoor mood. I can imagine a rainy day sitting next to the fireplace and watch the raindrops falling on the glass. This is just an excellent place for your visit in every season of the year.

The Atmosphere of Café

Once you enter, have a careful look around and choose the spot that is the most appealing to you. I like the armchairs next to the fireplace, where you can grab one of the books and have a great view of the courtyard through the huge glass door. The whole concept uses the elements of the old manufactory with a retro style. As an upgrade, I like the features of future visions. So, pay attention to the paintings of astronauts outside and inside. Even the logo is looking into the sky.

The Menu and Program of Kavárna co hledá jméno

Café has a great choice of coffee and homemade lemonade. The kitchen is still small, but the offer of light lunch/brunch or homemade cakes is worthwhile to try. This lovely place is pet and children friendly, so take your beloved with you. What I like is the program of various workshops, lectures, and art preview in the multifunctional space above the café. Check the latest program on their Facebook here. You can even rent it for your business purposes.

How to get there:

It’s a hidden space in the courtyard, so the direction might not be so obvious. The closest metro/tram stop is Anděl. Find the big shopping center and the street-facing the entrance to the mall is called Stropežnického (you can see a bookshop and hotel Andel over there). So, take this street and continue until number 10 where is a parking lot with a flower shop. Next to this shop is a huge gate (no need to open it whole) with a small invisible door in it. And here you go.

It is worthwhile to say that the same authors are behind the Vnitroblock, café, and cultural space with a similar idea behind.
