Tea Mountain is not a typical tea room, but a perfectly designed place for degustation of the best teas of the world. Don’t expect any fluffy carpets, incense, and sofas, but the pure and simple design made of natural materials. Tea Mountain is just a number one place in Prague if you want to explore a world of the tea.

I discover Tea Mountain by accident during lunchtime in Karlin district. Since I am a tea lover, I get excited by outdoor design that attracted me by wooden benches and teapots. Once I entered, I felt like in a Japan design store that is carefully decorated by the natural materials. Everything looks perfect, and I still did not tell you about the smell of the tea…All together seemed like a fairytale, so I sat down and absorbed the atmosphere of this place.

After a while, the waiter smiled at me and asked what I would like to try. Not an easy question, since the choice is enormous and I would spend hours sitting here. Fortunately, he was very patient, provided me with some recommendations, and I can even smell what I like the most. The winner of the competition was green tea with an orange flavor that gives me energy as I would have a coffee.

I can easily imagine spending here for some hours with my book and tasty tea, especially with the coming winter. But Tea Mountain is not just a tea room; you can pick your favorite tea and buy a whole package for your homemade preparation. If you are not decided, ask for degustation of several samples, and then you can choose what resonates with you the most.

How to get to Tea Mountain:

Tea Mountain is located in Karlin district. The easiest way is to take a tram (3, 5, 8, 14, 24) to the Urxova tram stop, continue by Březinova street and then turn left to Křižíkova. Just around the corner, you will find Tea Mountain. If you are already here, I would recommend you to visit also Invalidovna nearby.
